For Mother’s Day, a Pearl Tribute to Mom!
For Mother’s Day 2010, the Pearl of Wisdom campaign asked people to pay tribute to their mom – or any special woman in their lives – and help spread the message that cervical cancer is preventable. Thanks to the many people who shared heartfelt tributes to the special women in their lives. You can read their tributes below.

I was diagnosed when I was only 23 I'm now 60 but, my daughter in-law has never had this but, she does have MS and shes a great mom to her 2 year old and I feel she is so giving of her self hope she never has to go through this disease but, if it were to happen I would be there for her.

For my daughter--At 16 yrs. of age, she had cancer cells frozen for cervical cancer. To the day now at age 27 she is cancer free. My daughter is my best friend. For 3 generations this deadly diease was handed down. So far lucky in 2 generations.

Because she taught me about the birds & bees & about the female body & what i needed to do to check myself for breast cancer & to go to my gyno if i had female problems/concerns instead of putting it off.That we need to take care of our bodies because as women & mothers we are the glue that keeps the family together.
